- Secondary Command Unit. Chief 60 is outfitted and includes the same capabilities as Chief 6, outfitted and equipped to respond as a BLS 1st responder unit and mobile command post. Chief 60 serves as the department’s second command vehicle and is assigned to a Fire Officer. Having a second command unit significantly increases overall response capability, ensuring that a trained command officer can arrive quickly, support initial operations, and manage complex or multi-unit incidents even when the Chief is not immediately available. This 2010 Chevy Suburban offers additional command space, communications tools, and operational flexibility, allowing Sudlersville VFC to maintain strong incident management coverage across the district.
