The Sudlersville Volunteer Fire Company is actively seeking local men and women to fulfill the positions of firefighters, emergency medical technicians & administrative members.

Be part of one of the most proactive, professional, and progressive volunteer emergency response organizations in the county. Training is provided and the benefits are awesome.
 

Basic Requirements

Getting started with the SVFC is easy ...

First, you need to decide which type of membership status you would like to apply for. Below are the different positions and brief descriptions about each.

  • Firefighter / EMT / Engineer

- Must attend meetings, drills, and functions in administrative year.
- Must meet Fire/EMS protocol for administrative year.
- Must obtain Firefighter I, or EMT certification within 1 year of admission into the company. (It's FREE!!)

  • Junior Members / Cadets

- Must be 14 years of age
- Must attend meetings, drills, and functions.

  • Associate Member

- If you like to help with fundraising, cleaning or driving the trucks, or something non-firefighting and EMS related, this is for you!
- Must work 6 functions to continue as an associate member.

  • Affiliate Member

- Must live or work in our First-Due area.
- Exempt from attendance requirements
- Must be an active member of allied fire company.

How To Join

We Have Two Different Methods To Go About Joining Our Company

  • In Person

     Stop by the firehouse on a Tuesday night anytime after 7:00 p.m. to speak with some of the members and pick up an application.
     

  • By E-Mail

E-Mail our company at info@svfc6.com for further information or to set up a time that you can stop by.

If you are semi-interested and would like to stop by and check things out before you make a decision, simply stop by the station and a member will show you around, answer questions, and try and help you out to the best of their ability.
