Friday, January 29, 2010 - Friday morning started early as volunteers were alerted at 0525 for a house fire on Broad St. in Crumpton. Shortly after dispatch, Sta. 7 contacted QA and requested a second alarm and tanker task force reporting heavy fire visible from the firehouse. On arrival on Engine/Tanker 7, Officer 704 established Broad St. Command and shortly afterward requested a third alarm, advising that the fire had spread into a second house. On arrival of Sudlersville units, crews assisted with a variety of tasks, pulling ceilings to check for extension, and assisting with fire attack and water supply. Units worked for approximately 3 hrs. before being released by command. Other companies assisting; QA 3,4,5,6,7, Kent MD 2,3,4,6, Caroline 700, and Kent DE 44,45,51,56.
