Control Burn on Peters Corner Road

Dec 2: 08:30 Hrs SVFC Hosted a control burn with interior training of a 2 1/2 story house located on Peters Corner Road. Crews from Marydel, Hartley and SVFC performed several evolutions on interior fire attack. Kent Co De. Sta 56 (Marydel) also demonstrated a some new RIT technology. Sta 6 units operated for approximately 4 hour with a total staffing of 30 personnel. Units on the drill E-64, E-61, Q-6, R-6, T-6, Brush 6, Gator 6, U-6, PM 60, QA EMS PM 600, and Chief 6. Other companies participating with the drill Kent Co. DE. Sta 51 (Hartly), and Sta 56 (Marydel). Thank you to the transfer crew from Queenstown who staffed our station during the drill.

MVC in the 6-7 Box

Dec 3: 08:24 Hours Sta 6 along with Kent Co. MD. Sta2 (Millington) was alerted for a MVC with rollover in the area of 5800 Sudlersville Road. R-6 arrived on location with 1 pick-up truck overturned and off the road. Officer 607 (G. Johnston) assumed CMD. Personnel checked the truck for hazards and QA EMS PM 600 obtained a PT. refusal. Sta 6 units operated for approximately 30 mins with a total staffing of 9 personnel. Units on the box R-6, E-64, and QA PM 600.

Cadet Wise Bags His First Deer

Dec 16: December 7th Cadet Kurt Wise Jr. after 2 unsuccessful years bagged his very first deer. Cadet Wise bagged this deer while hunting with his uncle and pop Dempsey at Royal Swan Farm in Kent Co, MD. This Doe weighed in at 118Lbs.

Webb, 1st EMS Lt: J. Davis, 2nd EMS LT: P. Wise, Sergeant appointed by the EMS Captain. 43 Active member voted in the 2008 SVFC election.
